Frozen 3 is one of a two-part story arc, as Disney is simultaneously developing it alongside Frozen 4.

Jennifer Lee, Disney’s Chief Creative Officer and Frozen’s writer and director, stated that they realised the plot was so epic that it required two films to do it justice.

The studio is remaining tight-lipped about the plot, but Disney released official concept art at the D23 Expo, which included Elsa, Anna, and Olaf riding horses in a mystical forest, a floating golden castle in the sky, and a looming mythical creature behind them.
