9 Netflix Shows You Didn’t Realise Everyone is Watching

There are some Netflix series you expect to be at the top of the platform’s most-watched list, such as Bridgerton, Wednesday, and Stranger Things.
Yet there are other superb TV series generating millions of views, but they lack the social media hype.
If you’re ready to find a hidden gem to watch or want to learn about the streaming service’s top series, keep reading to discover the 9 Netflix shows you didn’t realise everyone is watching.
1. Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig is one of the biggest cartoons in the world, and its Netflix statistics are proof.
In the first half of 2025, the British animation series attracted 90 million views across all its seasons in the second half of 2025.
Season 6 alone was huge for Netflix, as it generated 18.5 million views alone in the second half of 2025, making it one of the most consistently rewatched seasons in TV history.
Bear in mind that the statistics do not consider Peppa Pig’s viewership on YouTube and other TV channels or platforms.
2. Gabby’s Dollhouse

Gabby’s Dollhouse is more than a popular kids’ TV show. It is one of the biggest series on Netflix, averaging an incredible 108 million views across its seasons.
While adults might hit pause on a drama or comedy or watch a series once, kids will leave the show on while they play or draw and will repeatedly watch their favourite episodes.
For this reason, it repeatedly beats other top Netflix shows each year and is tough to beat for views on the platform.
3. Orange is the New Black

The seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black may have aired in 2019, but it continues to prove a juggernaut on the streaming service.
The Netflix original series reportedly generated more than 100 million hours watched in the first half of 2025. It’s due to new audiences finding the show and fans rewatching the beloved prison drama.
Netflix has hailed OITNB as one of its “enduring favourites,” and confirmed that almost 50% of its viewing is now from TV series and films released before 2023.
4. Untamed (Season 1)

While Untamed might lack the hype of Bridgerton or The Night Agent, it has enjoyed considerable success on Netflix since it arrived in July 2025.
The hit National Park drama has generated an incredible 93 million views, which recently resulted in the streaming service renewing it for a second season.
To put this into perspective, it attracted almost the same number of views as the final season of Stranger Things.
Starring Eric Bana in the lead role, it is one show that many people are watching, even if they aren’t discussing it much online.
5. Miss Rachel

Miss Rachel made Netflix history recently, as her much-loved series broke records when it arrived on the streaming giant in 2025.
Within the first half of 2025, the two seasons had generated an impressive 53.4 million views, making it the biggest kids’ launch in the platform’s history.
Also, it was hailed as the 7th most-watched show on Netflix in the first half of 2025, beating other top TV shows, including Ginny & Georgia and The Night Agent.
Like Peppa Pig, this doesn’t account for Miss Rachel’s YouTube viewership.
6. The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer is growing from strength to strength, attracting approximately 2.54 billion views over four seasons.
The fourth season earned 9.6 million views in its debut week, dethroning season four of Bridgerton from the TV top spot.
It’s also believed to be a huge hit with people aged 50 and over, as they account for 61% of its audience.
7. Virgin River

Virgin River might not have an explosive debut like other Netflix Original series, but it is one of the most popular shows on Netflix.
It is one show many people choose to watch slowly over months, rather than binge-watching in a single weekend, meaning it has incredible legs.
Virgin River reportedly achieved 1.9 billion minutes watched by the start of 2025, and it’s the fifth most-watched streaming original by minutes alone in the US.
Season 7, which arrived on Netflix on 12th March 2026, confirmed its place as the longest-running drama on the platform, and it continues to storm the charts.
The seventh season instantly reached the number one spot on Netflix, proving its popularity hasn’t waned since the show first aired in 2019.
8. The Beast in Me

In my opinion, The Beast in Me is one of the best thrillers to arrive on Netflix in recent years, but has failed to earn the hype of other popular TV series.
Yet, the viewing figures are proof of its quality and popularity, as the 2025 limited series, which stars Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes, has earned 43 million views and counting.
The outstanding series also earned three nominations at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, including acting nods for Danes and Rhys. It’s one Netflix series you should add to your list.
9. Alice in Borderland

While Alice in Borderland might be regularly compared to Squid Game, it lacks the hype of the South Korean series.
The show may not have dominated social media, but it is the most successful Japanese original series of all time on Netflix, and the numbers speak for themselves.
Seasons two and three of Alice in Borderland generated an incredible 61.2 million hours streamed, while season one of Squid Game achieved 63 million hours.
The little-known Sci-fi show also has an extremely high completion rate, meaning many viewers watch it through to the end.
Season three alone earned 25 million views from September to December 2025, and 46.3 million hours were reportedly watched during its debut week.
For the above reasons, fans are shocked to learn that Alice in Borderland has recently been cancelled, and a little more hype could lead to the show’s return.
