6. Shakira Returns with Another Catchy Song

In addition to voicing the character Gazelle, a Zootopia popstar, she has recorded the original song “Zoo” for Zootopia 2, which she wrote alongside Ed Sheeran and Blake Slatkin. Ed Sheeran will also have a small voice cameo in the sequel as the sheep Ed Shearin.

7. Animators Used New Tools for Zootopia 2

Disney has spared no expense to provide fans with a fantastic animation. The 2016 film invested in new technology to create realistic fur for its characters on screen.

As Zootopia 2 is a reptile mystery, the animation team used new tools and techniques to create realistic reptile skin and scales. It allowed the team to render contrasting surfaces on the cold-blooded animals, such as villain Gary De’Snake.
